Welcome to the winter edition.

It’s been a difficult year for everyone. The global pandemic has affected ‘normal’ activities for individuals, families, businesses and much, much more. Sadly, many people have been ill, hospitalised or even lost their lives. For many, 2020 will be a year to forget. Yet, at last, there appears to be some hope. There’s much talk amongst politicians and medical experts of vaccines soon to be made available. Hopefully, this may help us turn a corner and look towards a brighter 2021 when we can again hope for what we take for granted as ‘normal’ life.

This sense of ‘hope’ is not unique. As we move towards Christmas I am reminded of the hope the shepherds had when the angels announced their ‘good news’ on the hillside above Bethlehem or when the three kings visited the baby Jesus in the stable - they too were filled with hope. Hope of something better to come.

However you celebrate this Christmas, I wish you a very peaceful season and a happy and blessed New Year.

Workshops

Like most things, many workshops had to be cancelled this year. It was possible to ‘squeeze’ one in during a brief period between lockdowns over the summer and at the time of writing I’m hoping for one in December. However, if you would like to attend one of my photography workshops in the new year, do get in touch as I’m starting to build up a waiting list. Did you know - you can also buy workshop vouchers for the budding photographer in your life? - a perfect gift for Christmas. You can discover more about my workshops here.

Calendars

Christmas is also a time when our thoughts turn to calendars. If you’re still looking for a calendar for yourself or as a gift - I have two options for you. My Perpetual Calendars are the perfect gift for recording birthdays, anniversaries and special events. The good news is that when you get to the end - you simply start again! Showing the date in the month and not the day, allows you to keep these beautiful A3 calendars year after year. Alternatively, if you’re looking for a more traditional annual calendar, can I suggest you look here? All of the images are taken by me and 100% of proceeds goes to support the work of Eden Valley Hospice.

Christmas cards

If you’re still looking for Christmas cards please consider looking at my range of blank greetings cards. Many of the winter scenes make perfect cards for this time of year. Alternatively, if you’re looking for smaller cards in a multipack, why not look here where again, you’ll be using one of my images and 100% of proceeds goes to support the work of Hospice at Home.

New Video

I have produced a new video entitled ‘working the scene’ which is available to view now on YouTube. The video aims to help viewers get the most from their visits to a location and not leave with that sense of disappointment that we all experience when we fail to do justice to a scene.

Again, please do let me have your feedback and ideas for future subjects you’d like me to cover in the videos.

Thank you

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your ongoing support and interest in my work, especially during this difficult time. Hopefully, it won’t be too long before we’re all able to get back out and enjoy the photography we love.

Get a FREE Perpetual Calendar (worth £9.99 plus p&p) - If your idea for a Blog or Video is accepted - as a ‘Thank you’ from me!
